Health & Safety in the Construction industry
Date Posted: 10 September 2015As a builder and contractor carrying out domestic projects and small commercial projects, it is important that FixCorp ensures construction work is always carried out in a way that avoids any harm.
Most accidents and fatalities in the small building industry are caused by falls from a height including: ladders, scaffolds, working platforms, roof edges and falls through fragile roofs or rooflights.
Since FixCorp has first-hand experience in this type of work, we are very experienced and careful in ensuring that the work is carried out in a safe manner and which secures our own health and safety and that of others. As soon as we are appointed by our client as a contractor, our health and safety duties are called to action.
FixCorp will carry out all risk assessments to identify any concerns, and planning will be recorded in a construction schedule proportionate to the complexity of the project and the risks involved.
We closely follow the Health and Safety Executive guidelines and keep up to date with current training and industry requirements.
